Llama Leasing: Freedom & Flexibility

Llama Leasing Leasing a llama is a great way for you to custom design a pack trip for friends or family into the spectacular San Juan Mountains of Southern Colorado.

Many experienced backpackers have discovered llama leasing as a way to enrich their experience as it allows them to bring along many of the comforts of home.

The well-trained pack llamas that we lease are very easy and safe to handle. Also, a guide can be provided if you so desire or we also offer drop camps.

LEASE

Llama Leasing $50.00/day per llama, includes saddle, panniers and tack
Season Lease $900, Monthly Lease $750.
Classes (required)
Learn how to pack and camp with llamas. Prior to departure, guests must complete one of the following:

  • The one or three-day pack clinic
    or
  • Orientation classes (available at trailhead $125.00)
    or
  • Previously leased llamas from qualified outfitter

LLAMA TRANSPORTATION

You can provide your own at no cost or we can provide it for you to one of our permitted trailheads. The cost ranges between$200.00-$500.00 depending on trailhead. Includes drop off and pick up. We also rent trailers $30.00/day

DROP CAMP OR GUIDED LEASE ALSO AVAILABLE

$175/day for guide $50/day per llama, plus transportion to trailhead
